It is a popular and flavored rice recipe made with cooked rice, finely chopped vegetables and spice ingredients. It is a staple food for many South-East Asian countries, but in India it is served as street food from Indo Chinese cuisine. It tastes great when served with Manchurian gravy dishes or dal dishes.

Veg fried rice recipe Veg Fried Rice. Chinese Fried Rice. Indian cuisine has been influenced by many foreign cuisines, which fit local taste buds. Adopted from Asian cuisine, this fried rice recipe has transformed into a popular street food dish. It has many variations and this recipe post is dedicated to simple and easy vegetarian fried recipe.

As I have already mentioned, this recipe post talks about the Indian version of Veg Fried Rice. Generally, the fried rice recipe is prepared by adding egg omelette and finely chopped vegetables along with the preferred meat. This makes it a complete meal and a balanced diet food in South-East Asian cuisine. Having said this, the same recipe has been improved in India to meet local dietary requirements, especially by skipping egg egg yolk and meat protein. This dish is on almost all restaurant and street vendors menus and is served with an Indian curry side dish. I personally like the combination of Moong Dal Fry with Veg Fried Rice, and I make it regularly for my lunch or dinner.

To cook rice:

1 cup basmati rice

1 tsp oil

½ tsp salt

Water, for soaking and boiling

For fried rice:

2 tablespoons oil

2 layers of garlic, finely chopped

½ onion, finely chopped

4 tablespoons spring onion, chopped

4 carrots, finely chopped

2 tablespoons cabbage, finely chopped

2 tablespoons peas

5 beans, sliced

¼ capsicum, finely chopped

4 tsp salt

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

1 tsp Black Peppercorns

4 tsp salt


Instruction


1.  First, soak 1 cup of basmati rice in a large bowl for 20 minutes.

     Now take 6 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of oil and half a teaspoon of salt in a big pot.

     Boil the water.

2.   Then add the soaked basmati rice. Be sure to rinse the soaked rice after filtering the              water thoroughly.

3.    Mix well and boil for 10 minutes or until the rice is completely cooked.

4.    Sieve the rice, and add 1 cup of cold water to stop the cooking process. Cool it                       completely.

5.    Now put 2 big spoons of oil in a big pan and fry 2 cloves of garlic.

6.    Also, fry ½ onion and 2 tbsp spring onion.

7.    Also add vegetables of your choice, such as 1/4 carrot, 2 tablespoons cabbage, 2                   tablespoons peas, 5 beans, 1/4 capsicum and half a teaspoon salt.

8.    Over-fry the vegetables without overcooking them.

9.    Now add 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon vinegar. Stir-fry until the sauce is           well combined.

10.    Put the cooked rice on high flame.

11.    After this add 1 tsp black pepper and 4 tsp salt.

12.    Adjust the salt well as soy sauce also has salt.

13.    Stir-fry by mixing the rice grains well without breaking them.

14.    Also, add 2 tablespoons spring onion and mix well.

15.    Finally, enjoy Wedged Fried Rice with Gobi Manchurian.
